IFA Video-Project

The Institute of Anaesthesiology has its own video department, tasked with developing teaching videos enabling employees to attain knowledge in a multimodal way. The efficacy of teaching using this format is subject of a current investigation. The first study with many hundred patients, which could demonstrate a highly significant improvement of knowledge transfer and retainment as compared with traditional teaching, leading to less deviation from standards and improved patient safety, was recently published in the British Journal of Anaesthesia.

Filming takes place either in simulated environments, or real clinical settings providing writing consent can be obtained for all persons involved, and is performed using modern high-end video-editing equipment and professional cameras.
